The Wild Wild West
Queensland’s Summer State XC Mountain Bike Series
Round 4: Walloon, 9 January 2022
Walloon is proud to host Round 4 of this season’s Wild West Summer Series.
Walloon is a firm favourite and a regular to the Queensland Cross-Country racing circuit, featuring a spectacular array of challenging trails and stunning scenery to boot.
We’re MTB friendly! While the Wild West Series is an XC focused event, all Mountain Bikers are more than welcome. If you are looking to dip your toe into the exhilarating world of XC racing, but don’t have an XC specific bike, this event is an ideal taster of what you’ve been missing. The mixed terrain across the various venues also means there will be areas of certain courses where wider tyres and downhill bikes can excel.
If you are making the transition from recreational mountain biking and want to try out racing, the Wild West Series is an excellent choice for a first cross-country mountain bike race.
