Wild Wild West Series Round 3. Walloon 2021
Round 3 of the Wild West Series was held at the ever excellent Walloon
With close to 100 competitors taking to the start, the technical Walloon course turned on the Christmas magic. Tight, twisty, dry and dusty trails provided excellent, close racing conditions, ensuring that time gaps between competitors were minimal at the finish.
Riders were treated to beautiful racing conditions, with the temperature remaining cool due to the early start time (8.00am). Due to the unique racing format at Wild West events, with everybody on the circuit at the same time, nobody was left to sweat it out with a late afternoon race, all riders had finished racing by 10.00am.
No dismounts were required across the entire course, with a selection between A and B lines at all techincal sections. Walloon is a great facility to develop skill as a rider especially when tackling each element under racing conditions. Although Walloon is not open to the public for riding between events, you can ride at the facility as part of coaching setup ‘JR’s Gym and Bike’ visit their website for contact information.
