Cross Country mountain bike racing (XC, XCO, XCC) is a complete test of bike riding skills and fitness. Action-packed and fun for all, races are relatively short and consist of multiple laps loaded with features such as technical climbs, rock-gardens, singletrack trails, roots, drop-offs and jumps.

SEQ MTB Series – Castle Hill, 2021

The 2021 South East Queensland MTB Series visited Ipswich’s Castle Hill on September 19.

Racing started at 8am with U11 boys and girls completing a 3 lap short circuit, U13 boys and girls 4 laps.

8.30am saw the U17 men take on 4 laps of the full XCO circuit, with U15 men 3 laps.

9.20am the course was dedicated to female competitors, U15 3 laps, U17 4 laps, U19 4 laps, Elite 5 laps, E bikes 4 laps, Expert and Masters ladies 3 laps.

10.30am Elite men and E bikes 6 laps, U19 men, MM 1-4 and Expert men, 5 laps and Masters Men 5-8 4 laps.
